how to reduce the inner chaos

Most of live in such busy environments and such busy lives, that it can be difficult to slow down. The events of 2020 have added to our sense of chaos and unease. In this video, I give you some tips to give yourself some "space" within yourself.




Summary:

  • You can give yourself a pause or break by coming into presence.

  • Ruminating or compulsive thinking can add to our sense of chaos.

  • We have the choice of not engaging with all the thoughts that run through our head.

  • Start becoming aware of how your mind "hangs on" to certain thoughts. Make the decision to let the thoughts pass by without engaging them. Don't go down that rabbit hole.

  • Practice doing one task at a time, both physically and mentally. This is what it means to be present. Doing this will help you to rest and even be more creative.

  • Remember that being present is a practice, not a one time event.
